Explore the best of West Bengal in 4 days

Day 1 – From Kolkata to Sundarban

Kolkata → Godkhali/Sonakhali → Pakhirala

Departure from Canning around 09:00 am & from Kolkata around 07:00 am

Reach Sonakhali and board the launch with a warm welcome and enjoy a delicious breakfast before adventure begins! .

The boat will start around 11:00 am from Sonakhali Ferry Ghat towards our accommodation on Pakhirala island.

We'll cruise along the scenic Hogol River towards Gosaba Island, enjoying the beautiful riverside views along with delicious snacks.

At Gosaba we will explore Hamilton Bungalow, Rabindranath Tagore's Bungalow & the biggest bazar in Sundarban, Gosaba Bazar.

Enjoy a delicious lunch as we cruise through Hogol and Bidya Rivers, surrounded by the mysterious beauty of the Sundarbans.

Around 4:30 pm, explore the beautiful Pakhir Jungle and Pakhiralaya before heading to your accommodation. By 7:00 pm, immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture with a traditional Adivasi Jhumur dance performance.

Enjoy a delicious dinner around 10:00 PM, followed by a relaxing overnight stay as you prepare for an exciting day of Sundarban jungle safari the next morning.

Day 2 – Full day Jungle Safari

Begin your Sundarban boat safari around 7:00 AM, cruising towards Sajnekhali Forest Office to obtain the required jungle entry permits.

Start Jungle Safari guided by our Govt tourist Guide from Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve while enjoying breakfast.

Embark on an exciting boat safari through the winding rivers, islands and narrow creeks of the Sundarbans, covering Pirkhali, Sarakkhali, Gazikhali, Deul Bharani and Banbibi Bharani.

Visit the famous Sudhanyakhali Watchtower, located in the heart of the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve with snacks.

Spot fascinating wildlife, including spotted deer, crocodiles, wild boars, snakes, water monitor lizards and a variety of beautiful birds.

Keep your eyes open while you are enjoying delicious lunch for the magnificent Royal Bengal Tiger – if luck is on your side!

Visit the Do-Banki Watchtower and enjoy an exciting 896-metre canopy walk through a secure netted enclosure, offering a unique opportunity to spot wildlife.

A Visit to Panchamukhni 5 River junction and return to our stay at Pakhirala.

Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and enjoy some free time for shopping and exploring the local market.

Day 3 – Core Area sightseeing

Pakhirala → Core Jungle Safari

Begin your Sundarban boat safari around 7:00 AM, cruising towards Sajnekhali Forest Office to obtain the required jungle entry permits.

Start your guided jungle safari from Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve with our Government-approved tourist guide while enjoying a delicious breakfast on board.

Embark on an exciting boat safari through the winding rivers, islands and narrow creeks of the Sundarbans, exploring the beautiful waterways around Panchamukhani, Bonnie Camp, Kalash Camp and the surrounding forest areas.

Visit the famous Bonnie Camp Watchtower, one of the prominent watchtowers in the Sundarbans, offering a wonderful opportunity to experience the vast mangrove wilderness.

Explore the Kalash Camp area, known for its natural beauty, coastal landscape and unique mangrove ecosystem.

Cruise through the scenic creeks and waterways, including Bono Bibi Bharani, Jhilla and other nearby forest channels, depending on the permitted safari route.

Spot fascinating wildlife, including spotted deer, crocodiles, wild boars, snakes, water monitor lizards and a variety of beautiful birds.

Keep your eyes open while enjoying a delicious lunch on the boat, as you might get lucky enough to spot the magnificent Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat!

Continue your journey through the beautiful rivers and dense mangrove forests, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and unique wilderness of the Sundarbans.

After completing the jungle safari, begin your return journey towards Pakhiralaya.

Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and enjoy some free time for shopping and exploring the local market.

Day 4 – Return Journey with Beautiful Memories

Pakhirala → Sonakhali/Godkhali → Kolkata

Begin your return journey around 8:00 AM from Pakhiralaya with your luggage and enjoy a delicious breakfast aboard the boat as we cruise towards Jharkhali.

Explore Jharkhali and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sundarbans before continuing our journey.

Visit the famous Baba Loknath Temple after returning from Jharkhali.

Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch aboard the boat while cruising back through the beautiful river waterways.

Arrive at Sonakhali Ferry Ghat between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM, marking the end of your memorable Sundarban journey.

With beautiful memories and unforgettable experiences, we bid farewell and proceed towards Canning or Kolkata.

What are the chances of seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger?

Sundarban is home to over 100 Royal Bengal Tigers. Since tigers in Sundarbans frequently swim across rivers and drink from sweet-water ponds near watchtowers (Sudhanyakhali, Dobanki, Sajnekhali), sightings are completely wild and natural. Winter months (October to March) offer the highest probability during low tides when tigers sunbathe on open riverbanks.

Are there toilet facilities onboard the safari boats?

Yes. All our deluxe safari boats have separate, western-style, hygienically sanitized toilets equipped with running water, handwash, and sanitizers.

Is mobile network available in the Sundarbans?

Airtel and Jio have good coverage near Godkhali, Gosaba, and Sajnekhali. As your boat enters deeper reserve forest channels and core watchtowers, signals may become intermittent, allowing you to unplug and enjoy pure wilderness.

What documents are required for the forest permit?

Indian nationals must carry any original Government photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport). Foreign nationals must carry their original Passport with valid Indian Visa.

Is Sundarban safari safe for elderly people and children?

Yes, absolutely. Our safari boats are sturdy, dual-engine vessels with stable flat-bottom designs, high safety railings, and certified life jackets for adults and children. There is minimal walking required, and all watchtowers are connected by fenced wooden or paved pathways.
