1. Complete Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary
DAY 1
Kolkata Departure, Godkhali Transit, Gosaba Heritage & Sunset Cruise
- 07:30 AM – 08:30 AM: Morning pickup from Kolkata meeting hubs (Indian Museum, Science City) in comfortable AC coach or private car.
- 11:30 AM: Arrive at Godkhali Ferry Ghat. Board your motorized safari cruiser and enjoy welcome drinks with fresh coconut water or tea.
- 12:00 PM – 01:30 PM: Cruise along the Hogol and Gomor rivers. Visit historical Gosaba: Sir Daniel Hamilton's heritage wooden bungalow, Beacon Estate, and learn about Rabindranath Tagore's stay in 1932.
- 01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Check into your riverfront eco-resort at Pakhiralay / Dayapur. Savor a lavish traditional Bengali lunch (rice, dal, seasonal bhaja, Bhetki/Katla fish curry, chutney, papad).
- 04:00 PM – 05:30 PM: Sunset creek cruise through Pakhiralay bird island watch area. Watch thousands of egrets, herons, and cormorants return to roost as the sun dips into the water.
- 06:30 PM – 08:30 PM: Evening tea with hot chicken/onion pakoras at the resort, followed by a live local Bonbibi Palagan (traditional folk drama narrating the legendary battle between the tiger demon Dakshin Rai and mother Bonbibi) or tribal Santhal dance.

Full-Day Core Safari, Sajnekhali & Sudhanyakhali Watchtowers, Kolkata Drop
- 06:30 AM – 07:00 AM: Early morning wake-up call with bed tea. Board the safari cruiser as early morning mist lingers over the water.
- 07:30 AM – 09:30 AM: Enter the Sundarban Tiger Reserve through Sajnekhali Range. Secure government clearances, take certified naturalist onboard. Visit Sajnekhali Watchtower, Mangrove Museum, and crocodile pond. Breakfast served onboard (hot Luchi with Alur Dom).
- 10:00 AM – 01:30 PM: Deep boat safari through narrow, mysterious mangrove creeks: Pirkhali, Gazikhali, Choragajikhali, and Banabibi Bharani. Scan low-tide mudflats for basking saltwater crocodiles, water monitor lizards, and mudskippers.
- 01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Dock at Sudhanyakhali Watchtower overlooking the sweet-water drinking pond. High chance of observing herds of spotted Chital deer, wild boars, and diverse kingfishers. Hot buffet lunch served on boat.
- 04:00 PM – 04:30 PM: Cruise back to Godkhali Ferry Ghat. Deboard safari boat with evening tea and biscuits.
- 05:00 PM – 08:30 PM: Board AC vehicle for return journey to Kolkata with sweet memories of the delta.
